Patients don't have to wait two to three weeks for their crowns to come back. We can design the crowns same day as they are in and even deliver it on the same day. Sometimes they might come in the morning, and then they can go from there, and then come back in the evening and have the crown seeded so they don't have to have a temporary on that that requires to be kept in there for the two to three weeks. So we have patients that have temporary crowns falling off and they have to come back to get the crown re-cemented. Whereas with this technology, we can make the crowns same day, or sometimes even the next day, and a lot of patients love that because it saves them the time and also, for us also time-wise, we have the availability, we can do it right away, and don't have to make a temporary for the patient. So in that way, it speeds up the whole process quite a bit and we have different materials that we use. Like before, you could only do a certain kind of crowns, but now we have zirconia material available where we can make zirconia crowns—those are the strongest crowns—and those can be made in our office.

Same-Day Dental Crowns Explained
A dental crown completely covers the visible portion of a tooth to provide added strength and protection. Because your dental crown will be custom-made and color-matched to the rest of your teeth, it will blend in seamlessly with the rest of your smile.
And thanks to our office’s state-of-the-art CEREC machine, you won’t have to wait for a separate company to fabricate and ship your dental crown!
We can use dental crowns to cap teeth that:
- Are cracked, misshapen, or discolored
- Have become weakened by a root canal
- Need more protection than a tooth filling
We can also completely replace a damaged or missing tooth with a same-day dental crown attached to a dental implant!
Dental Bridges: What Are They?
A dental bridge literally bridges smile gaps left by one or more adjacent missing teeth. Our Lewisville, TX office offers both traditional dental bridges (held in place by your neighboring teeth) and dental bridges held in place by dental implants. Regardless of which option you choose, your replacement tooth or teeth will look and function great!
It is important you replace your missing teeth for many reasons. Your remaining teeth can shift out of alignment or even out of place. Missing teeth can also affect your overall health because they will prevent you from chewing your food as you should.
Dr. Mathew cares about long-term dental health and demonstrates that concern through membership in different professional organizations like American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association and Dallas County Dental Society.
